Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is a volunteer non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to providing decent, affordable housing in partnership with the community and deserving families in Hillsborough County.

INTRODUCTION

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, Florida’s Corporate Sponsorship program invites corporations in the Tampa Bay area to work with us and our community to ensure that people in need have a decent and affordable place to live.

Corporate sponsorships aid in addressing the problem of substandard and poverty housing in our local community.  Sponsorships also provide a positive solution and offer a wealth of benefits to corporations, including tax deductions, high-voltage public relations exposure, and a permanent, positive effect on company morale through building homes for those in need.

Corporations partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County seek to reach the goal of helping those in need.  Employees at every level of an organization get to see each other at their very best on a Habitat build. It's an opportunity to grow, to bond, and to experience all-around good feelings that get carried back to the workplace.

A CRISIS IN HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Housing prices increased more than 200% in Hillsborough County between 1994 and 2006.  The median house price in 1994 was $75, 800; in 2006 that figure rose to $230,900.

Median Family Income rose in that same time period, but it did not rise in the same proportion as housing prices.  In 1994 it was $36,400; in 2006 that figure was only $54,400 – an increase of approximately 50%.

While housing costs have soared, median family income has not increased enough to maintain a family’s home-buying power.  As the attainable housing gap continues to widen, fewer families will be able to realize their dream of home ownership.

THE NEED FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Habitat works with volunteers and applicant families to change the face of communities and eliminate substandard housing in Hillsborough County.  With the help and sweat of our wonderful volunteers and families, and the aid of sponsors like you, we can build hope and build lives for generations to come.

OUR LOCAL IMPACT

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County has built over 118 homes in Hillsborough County covering Plant City, Wimauma, Thonotosassa, Tampa, and more!  We continue to build throughout the county in order to eliminate substandard and poverty housing.
           

In the Tampa Bay area alone, local affiliates have built over 500 homes!   
           

In March of 2005, Habitat for Humanity International commemorated our 200,000th Home!  We have housed more than ONE MILLION people in over 3,000 communities worldwide.

      LEVELS OF SPONSORSHIPS  (TOP)

Depending on your organization’s level of involvement in the community, its financial capability, its need for positive coverage in our local community and media, and its manpower, Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County has a sponsorship program that will be a benefit to your organization.

Where else can your employees, executives, investors, and customers see the level of involvement your organization has had in the community a year or even ten years down the road?  Nowhere but Habitat!  Partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsbourgh County provides results in which you can take pride for years to come.

Habitat Homes are built to last, just like the partnerships we make with organizations like your own.  Simply choose the plan best suited for your organization, fax the final page to (813) 237-1967, and a Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County representative will get in touch with you shortly to go over any questions you may have.

Corporations that donate materials used in a Habitat home may be eligible to receive a tax credit through the Community Contribution Tax Credit Program!  Our Executive Director or our Resource Development Director will be able to give you more information about this great program.

NOTE:  All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer!!

HOPE SPONSOR

Imagine YOUR organization fully sponsoring a Habitat home!!  Think of the goodwill felt by the home owner, the community, and your associates when you’re recognized as a Hope Sponsor of a Habitat home, both on our website, as well as through other media coverage.  You may even catch “Habititus” (an extreme enthusiasm for the mission of Habitat for Humanity)!

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, through local area partnerships with vendors, city and county officials, and volunteers is able to keep the cost of this opportunity at an affordable price.  The following are benefits of being a full Hope Sponsor:

- Home Signage – At the Wall Raising ceremony, through the duration of the construction of the home, and at the 
   Dedication ceremony.

- Website Recognition – Your logo will be placed in the “Our Sponsors” block on our homepage, as well as on our
   Sponsor page with a link to your website (if applicable).

- Hope Sponsor Plaque & Certificate – Special recognition will be given to your organization when a large plaque
   commemorating your sponsorship is handed out at the Dedication ceremony in front of the homeowner, volunteers
   and others.  Also, a framed certificate will be presented to your organization listing the date, address, family, your
   organization, and a photo of the homeowners in front of their new home.  Photos of the event will be posted on our
   website.

-  Volunteer Slots - 10-20 Volunteer slots per day for every workday (if applicable).

(This amount includes a tithe to Habitat International.)

HOME BUILDER

This is a unique opportunity to partner with another local area community organization in sponsoring a Habitat home.  Co-Sponsors can either be assigned by Habitat or coordinated by your organization with your current partners.  Team building opportunities and long-lasting relationships are two great benefits of co-sponsoring a Habitat home.  The following are benefits of being a Home Builder:

- Home Signage – Shared signage with your Home Builder partner at the Wall Raising ceremony, through the duration
  of the construction of the home, and at the Dedication ceremony.

- Website Recognition – Your logo will be placed in the “Our Sponsors” block on our homepage, as well as on our
  Sponsor page with a link to your website (if applicable).

- Home Builder Plaque – Recognition will be given to your organization, along with your partner Home Builder, when
  plaques commemorating your sponsorship are handed out at the Dedication ceremony in front of the homeowner,
  volunteers and others.  Photos of the event will be posted on our website.

- Volunteer Slots - 10-20 Volunteer slots per day the first 4 workdays (if applicable).

COST: $50,000
(This amount includes a tithe to Habitat International.)

FOUNDATION BUILDER

If your organization’s budget will not allow for a Hope Sponsorship or a Home Builder Sponsorship, we have available the Foundation Builder Sponsorship!  Your organization will be teamed with possibly two other organizations to build a Habitat home.  Benefits of the Foundation Builder sponsorship include:

- Website Recognition – Your logo will be placed in the “Our Sponsors” block on our homepage, as well as on our
  Sponsor page with a link to your website (if applicable).

- Foundation Builder Plaque – Recognition will be given to your organization, along with your partner Foundation
  Builders, when plaques commemorating your sponsorship are handed out at the Dedication ceremony or at your
  organization(s).  Photos of the event will be posted on our website.

- Volunteer Slots –20 Volunteer slots will be allotted for 2 days of construction work (not necessarily house- or work-
  specific).  T-shirts and lunch will be provided.

COST: $30,000

CORPORATE DAY

Reserve a day for YOUR organization on a Habitat Build Site!!

A Corporate Day provides an opportunity to promote team building within your organization.  Watch as your employees, executives, and family members gather at a Habitat home for a day of team-building, fun, and community service.  Benefits include:

- Corporate Day Plaque - A plaque will be given to your organization to commemorate your involvement with Habitat for
  Humanity of Hillsborough County.  Photos of your Corporate Day will also be posted on our website.

- Volunteer Slots & T-shirts - Up to 25 Volunteer Slots will be made available for your associates for the day.  T-shirts  
  will be provided for all attendees to the Corporate Day, as well as a few extras to provide to executives within your
  organization.

- Breakfast, Lunch, and Refreshments will also be catered as part of this team-building package.

COST: $5,000

FRIEND OF HABITAT

This sponsorship provides positive exposure to the local community.  This program allows your organization to sponsor a Volunteer Day for other volunteers, as well as a few of your associates, while they are out on a build.  Benefits include: 

- Friend of Habitat Certificate – A certificate will be sent to you with the date of the Volunteer Day that you sponsored.

- Volunteer Slots - Up to 10 Volunteer Slots will be allotted for your organization for the day you sponsor.  T-shirts will be
  provided for the volunteers attending your Volunteer Day.

- Lunch and Refreshments will also be catered to the volunteers as part of this package.

COST: $2,500

MATERIAL DONORS

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, Florida looks to partner with organizations within our community in the home/corporate building, home/corporate supply and material, and home/corporate improvement industries.

Should your organization fall under these categories, we seek donors of materials for both our Habitat Homes and our Habitat ReStore.  For instance, becoming the Official Cabinet Provider of Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Homes for the 2007 year provides your organization with a sense of pride and community involvement through your specialized product(s) being used and exposed to the Habitat community and its patrons.  Donor partnerships can be made on an annual basis and continue for as long as both parties desire.
