Van Dyke Church is partnering once again to build a home with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Florida, Inc.!  The Wall Raising took place on May 16, 2009 with "Van Dykers" turning out to volunteer their time and talent to help build our latest home with the Sexil Family.

Habitat Hillsborough, along with Gerdau Ameristeel and the Jesuit High School Key Club celebrated with the Lopez Family at the Dedication Ceremony for their new home on May 16th. Habitat Hillsborough started another home with "Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity" last Saturday, March 21st! Volunteers from many of the 14 area Lutheran churches co-sponsoring the home came out Saturday to help raise the frame to the house being built with the Lewinson Family.  Thank you to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Thrivent Builds and the following Lutheran churches:

OUR MISSION

Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is a volunteer nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to providing decent, affordable housing in partnership with the community and deserving families in Hillsborough County.

At Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, our focus is on showing the love of God to families in Hillsborough County by giving them a hand up, not a hand out. Habitat homebuyers must donate 500 "Sweat Equity" hours, be able to assist with closing costs, and make monthly mortgage payments. Habitat homes are sold to our homeowners at no profit with a no-interest mortgage.

We invite donors and volunteers from all walks of life to come together with our future homeowners to build relationships and to realize dreams.
